Impact of Project Deliverables for Community
Since Dams have one of the most important roles in using water resources. This was started to construct long years before gaining present information about hydrology. The Dam has a great deal of positive and negative effects on the environment besides their benefits like controlling stream regimes, consequently preventing floods, obtaining domestic and irrigation water from the stored water and generating energy. Wherever this location of a dam is, its natural results are the same. The environmental impacts of dam has been classified according to different measures as long term and short term impacts, the impacts on the close area and the impacts in the region where the dam services, social and unsocial impacts, beneficial and harmful impacts . In addition to their very important social and environmental benefits, it is important to minimize the negative effects for the human benefits on the environment regarding sustainable development. The mentioned effects and their solutions have taken into account in the environmental impact assessment
Kiosk Construction and completion
The “Work supervision and inspection” was through direct implementation of DARDO AID with Donor advices that specified during works In the DAM This consulted and to have resulted the detailed work performance remained the effectiveness during the preliminary designs studies of the dam.
Q1: had been completed the Community consultation, Mobilization, desilting, digging and construction of Concrete chamber
Q2: Procurement of Plastic sheets, Solar panel with Pump, Kiosk construction, Mesh wire fencing, Shading tree Plantation and general installation of project items, that all had been placed under the responsibility of the DARDO AID, The mentioned activities were paid in 80% by the donor –GIZ.
Project Handing Over
Mr: Aden DARDO project coordinator, welcomed the Xudur community including Water stakeholders attended the ceremony and well contributed for their views to improve the Thousands of lives, and congratulated with the Ministry team at the district – Xudur, in the panel the DC himself village committee for their success in completing the dam. “The dam is one of a succession of dams and water structures GIZ has funded and supported in the Xudur district At SWS.
Work Completion of Bakol Reg. General Hospital rehabilitation
Work development : the work completion for the rehabilitation situation from it is renovated from the previous to the recent change, the hospital is currently in need of heavy rehabilitation that at least taken 5 months to complete, and now it is already got functional and started in Work. The Hospital director thanked DARDO and funding Donor – GIZ to have supported the Hospital never received any rehabilitation since the government collapsed . rehabilitation was to change the structure of the Building for example removing older structure of Building, it was removed the old mold roofs, and heightened up to the top edge where it was cut off the molded building materials – sand, stone and other materials this designed to refreshly expecting to replace new construction materials, during molding off the masons on the floor were in fear of stepping down infact the hospiatal old building did not well compact of concrete the top floor which formed of low water flow on one side.

To liaise with local community leaders – District and regional level, It is a mandated to inform and collaborate the different parties of community by confirming Human lives development and improvement through rehabilitating, renovation of communal infrastructures. to this means , DARDO AID in partner with the GIZ through BMZ funds, now ceme on completion of Activities needed in rehabilitation at the isolated locations/ Embargo like Community health centers, – hospitals and MCH to assist the vulnerable community with no discrimination among the human being , to this regard DARDO ID staff based in SWS – Hudur district had come on time to hand overing the rehabilitated – work Completion of REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL to Community- representative of Bakol regional administration,
Community Consultation & overview
Within in the days project starting The implementation partner DARDO organized a meeting for Community – project stakeholders That aimed to official opening and start the project which planned to run up to end of project taken the steps the project can announce in the district – Hudur with engaging the community by Focusing key people to be met – like Local authority, village elders and IDP camp groups in the discussions conducted the meeting was focused on project overview based in main parties targeting with In the community as per improving
Success Story
It is most pleasure that many people in targeted areas at hudur district – IDP camps and Host community from Five villages such Morogabey,, Horseed, Bullow, Shidalow and Shekawes . As much as the world knows, Somali is in east Africa had been affected by Natural disaster and civil War causing many Lives displaced and others left poverty in the live, with much assessment in regard the communal health system DARDO and gIZ have responded the Gaps of Pandemics outbreak at the region. Besides, most Hudurian communities who never received the services against Pandemic.

This wonderful day appeared in the Hudur airstrip
that DARDOAID partner imported the 2 new completed vehicles equipped with medical equipment ( as new as ZERO kilo meter). in order to serve the hudur community – particularly Vulnerable mothers used to suffering the complicated deliveries to reach out near secondary Health centres managed by DARDOAID and SWS Ministry of Health
DARDOAID managerial team with presence of Local authority, Regional and District councils officially taken over the good condition vehicles. In the Hudur airport, After DARDO signed and well convened the responsibility, DC and Regional governor thanked to the Organizations – Donor who have recalled to have eye-backed to this community under isolated situation for the 10 Years lacking such services particularly serious patients
